About Us

A clinic that focuses on evidence-based approaches.

We empower the patient to take control of their situation using a tailored combination of hands-on therapy, patient education, and exercise guidance. We provide a complete package to help get you where you need to be, or farther. Massage Therapists can provide you with a needed deep tissue session, or lighten up for relaxation. Athletic Therapists can help your pursuit of movement and fitness excellence.

We accept private patients, referrals from other healthcare providers, and WCB and MPI clients. Direct billing is offered through WCB, MPI, Blue Cross, Federal Blue Cross, major Telus Health affiliates (Canada Life, Manulife, ClaimSecure, Johnston Group, Coughlin, amongst others), Sun Life, Equitable Life, The Co-operators, and Provider Connect (Green Shield, Empire Life, SSQ). This list is not exhaustive.

We dedicate time to each patient, rather than shuffling between multiple people. This way, we can provide quality treatment that meets the needs of our patients.

We will provide you with achievable home programs that enhance what can be done in-clinic. Nothing that requires expensive equipment - who has a full home gym? Perhaps a band, a massage ball, a weight if you really want - or none of it. Things you can even pick up in-house. Take a look at our merchandise page for available equipment.

Simple. Inexpensive. Accessible.

Together we can determine what’s giving you trouble, identify the best ways to address it, provide helpful treatment, and get you Up and Running again.

Lindsey Marana, RMT, Registered Massage Therapist

Lindsey Marana is a graduate of Wellington College having completed her program with Valedictory status in 2019. She has been practicing in the Maples prior to joining Up and Running Physiotherapy in 2020.

Lindsey has taken courses in multiple modalities such as reflexology and craniosacral therapy, and has since decided to focus on treating muscular dysfunction through myofascial release and a specialty in treating TMJ disorders.

Lindsey believes treatment doesn’t end at the end of an appointment. She makes sure to educate her clients throughout treatment to incorporate a mutual understanding of aftercare and how treatment works. Lindsey hopes to build trust and understanding in her clients by the end of every treatment.

In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys the local art scene, craft beer and John Mulaney Comedy specials. She looks forward to snowshoeing and hiking come snowfall.

Outside of work you can find Stephanie exploring the outdoors with friends and family, playing and coaching basketball, and making her way through local cuisine - recommendations encouraged!

Lisa Smyrichinsky, BSc Kin, Certified Athletic Therapist

In 2015 Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Athletic Therapy) from the University of Winnipeg and shortly after went on to certify as an Athletic Therapist. Lisa is a Certified Sport First Responder and has completed continuing education course work in Mulligan Concept Techniques, Soft Tissue Release, and Fall Prevention in older adults.

Lisa believes that exercise-based treatment supported by evidence is the foundation of injury rehabilitation. During an injury assessment, Lisa will effectively communicate your assessment findings and ensure you always know the “why” behind your treatment plan. Lisa excels at bridging the gap from injury rehab to performance and her patients often return to sport or leisure activities stronger and more confident than pre-injury.

People who work with Lisa range from injured athletes of all skill levels to everyday office workers with back pain to older adults who want to learn how to build muscle and prevent falls. Those injured in a car accident or at work who have an MPI or WCB claim can also benefit from Athletic Therapy treatment.

Lisa’s passion for athleticism and health developed through her involvement in rhythmic gymnastics at a young age. After years of competing at a provincial level, she went on to become a coach and national level judge. You can still find her sitting behind the judge’s table at competitions in Winnipeg and across Canada.

During time away from work, Lisa loves to travel and has made her way (often as a solo traveller) to over 15 countries. Her most memorable and challenging trip was trekking Everest Base Camp.
